This color-enhanced satellite interpretation highlights high clouds or large amount of water vapor. Cold clouds are high clouds, and the colors in the right bar typically highlight these colder regions. Higher pixel values (reds) correspond to colder temperatures.



This RADAR snapshot show incoming weather fronts. Low pressure systems coming on-shore are usually preceded by excellent flying days. Pilots call this "pre-frontal conditions." When you hear that, bring your wing 'cause it is ON!
